"There's (almost) no problem in student affairs (in higher education) that can't be solved by waiting 72 hours".
"Student affairs professionals are teachers. You have more interaction with students than some faculty. You have to take advantage of that "teachable moment". There will be many of those. You will make the difference in the lives of students who are special. There are students who will lead the student government and you will point them in the right direction. There are students who need more than just a point in the right direction. Those students need to be told they can succeed, to be encouraged, guided. You have that opportunity to make a difference to those students."
